I’m back in Cebu for Sinulog Festival and our first meal was in Sunburst Fried Chicken in Ayala Center. I missed their fried chicken, especially the Chick ’n Crackers – Crispy Chicken Skin Chicharon. This restaurant has always been part of my list whenever I get a chance to go to Cebu. Since most of my friends haven’t tried it, I decided that it was the best way to start our Cebu meal.
We of course ordered our own set meals, choosing whichever part we wished for. It was Thigh Double (Php152) for me, served with coleslaw which tasted like mayonnaise. They don’t serve gravy here, instead you can make your own dip from catsup and Worcestershire sauce. I love Sunburst Fried Chicken!!!

We then had an order of Chick ’n Crackers (Php178/regular) and Sotanghon Guisado (Php190/regular). Even if the crisy chicken skin is loaded with cholesterol, we still dug into it because it was that good. It’s amazing how they can fry it so crisp and at the same time you don’t feel any grease when you bite into it.

It was still early in the afternoon, so we decided to hang out at Friday’s while waiting for the others to finish their respective works. We had a few beers while playing with out gadgets. I love Ayala Center Cebu, they have Wi-Fi. Dessert is next! La Marea deserves a separate post.
