Christmas Party at the Ranch

It was the first time I was able to join Alyam’s Christmas Party at their ranch. Thank you for the invite, Uncle Albert and Auntie Vangie (thank you for the pictures too)!

A few years back, I’ve had the chance to visit their ranch with Crew, and was able to try their Chicken Barbecue which I loved. So since early December, I was already looking forward to this day.
I love their old school griller

We were greeted with kilos and kilos of chicken & pork belly. According to Uncle Romy, it was 120kgs to be exact. Di and I tried to count how many pigs were needed to supply us that much meat! Anyways, I still love the Chicken Barbecue, Arian also enjoyed this. Boo likes to dunk it in peanut sauce btw, same as how you eat it in Aristocrat. Di enjoyed the Grilled Pork Belly so much, I can’t even count how many times she went back.

They also served us Grilled squid, which was really tender. Some more mainstays are the Laing (yum!) and Bopis from Uncle Nandy. I’m not really a fan of Bopis, but this I like. And since I wasn’t able to take a lot of pictures, I grabbed some from Auntie Vangie’s album. Thank you Auntie!

There were cakes for dessert but we were too full, we wanted to walk. So Boo toured us around their ranch.
Afterwhich, we decided to check out Malarayat, and also have dessert there. The pool is so nice, wished I brought swimwear. Anyways, we ordered shakes and dessert. It was my first time to have Banana Split served in a Styrofoam, this really made us wonder and laugh.

We also had Bananarama, which is just the typical Banana-cue. And the Leche Flan w/ Macapuno.

Thanks for a wonderful day Boo!

  1. Interesting feature. Looks like a great meal. I love meals in the provinces as they make for more tastier versions of what we regularly have in manila. I don't know if its fresher ingredients or just more time and care in cooking but they sure are tastier.

Thanks for dropping by my blog. Hope you enjoyed!

  2. Hi Carlos! Yes, I will agree with you on that. I guess the environment also helps, knowing your far away from the city and all you see is just nature.
